Geese are mean!

Creagle and I just returned from the park. I just have to reiterate how wonderful it is to watch Creagle enjoy herself. We started with feeding the ducks. I always take a huge amount of leftover bread and other things for the birds. The duck’s Saturday lunch included very old biscuits, several stale biscuits and popcorn. Well, Miss Creagle thought it was her place to eat the bag of duck goodies before I handed it out. She had her head neck deep in the bag eating what ever she could reach. What a piggy! With what was left I fed the ducks and Creagle in the same fashion. It kept her occupied while I finished feeding the ducks was left. By the way, Creagle likes old biscuits. She holds them in between her paws and chews them like a bone.. The funny thing is that she will never eat bread at home if. Hey, whatever makes her happy? We moved on through the park. She has become so devoted to me that she rarely runs off. Notice the rarely part. She always listens as long as rabbits are not involved. Anyway, I just drop her lease and she follows her nose. Today she came upon two geese. They were huge and ready to attack, they saw her and she saw them. They squawked and headed towards she thought it was safe to lie down and look for me to protect her. I quickly grabbed her leash and we moved on without incident. We decided to take a break and people watch which she now also enjoys. Creagle got really concerned when a little girl fell of her bike and started crying. She was looking at me and then at the child as if she wanted me to do something. I tried to make her understand that it was okay, but she was real uneasy.

Finally, I took her to the off-leash dog area for doggie socialization. I don’t think she is ever really going to enjoy herself with other dogs. She’s okay with them, but she never wants to really be around them. She wants to be top dog ALL OF THE TIME! Anyway I decided not get a membership to the dog-park because Creagle doesn’t even enjoy herself and you pay yearly. I wish the dog park would have existed when I lived here with Sosa because he would have had a blast. It’s a huge area with plenty of big dogs for wrestling.

Creagle is now laying on the bed sleeping and snoring VERY loud! I think she had plenty of entertainment today!
