Friday March 19 PM Update
They have decided that Mandy needs to wake up so they have stopped a lot of the drugs. She bit her tongue and lip this evening when they tried to get her awake. Not sure her lungs are going to work without some sort of assistance. The worse thing that could happen happened. Pnemonia
For those of you that know Mandy know she will not want to be restricted by using oxygen, confined to a wheelchair or possibly worse. Through all of her years shes only wanted to be able to run and breathe. We are not sure that will be possible when she comes home.
The ICU nurses have been great and taking good care of her. Laurie is running on minimum sleep a max of 2-4 hours per night, not eating and so stressed I’m not sure how much more she can handle. I hope her health maintains.
Still she concerns herself with the needs of others, trying to do everything and being superwoman. I’m going to try and force her to come home for a night if they can get Mandy awake and she is not panicking for her next breath.

Hi! This is Adam’s Dad, Ken. Since I’m retired, I would have some time to spend with Amanda during the daytime when she gets home. Just a thought. Adam knows how to get a hold of me, and Mandy has my e-mail address. I live in Kirkwood, which is only a few minutes from her house. I know she has many friends, but maybe I could fill in.

I just saw this post and I wanted to say thank you for offering to come stay with me…I’ll finally be back tomorrow (Friday)
